Aunt Rose

Welcome to Aunt Rose.net

I created this company to honor my great Aunt Rose.  She was a woman ahead of her time.  As a business woman in the 1940’s and 1950’s she managed a local business, the front desk, made appointments, managed phone calls, worked with the salesmen, daily bookkeeping, kept the records and handled all the mailings, in addition to coordinating all of the day to day business details. Efficient in both her business and personal life giving great attention to details and perfection.  Aunt Rose was well respected and liked by everyone she interacted with and very caring with all of her family and friends.

She exemplified a strong work ethic along with her creative endeavors.  She was a seamstress making beautiful clothing.  She needle pointed, crocheted, knitted and all of us have quilts she gifted us over the years. She was incredibly artistic and imaginative.

Over the years Aunt Rose traveled the world and took several of us with her to explore various countries.  When she was in her 80’s and only a few months post hip replacement she flew from Los Angeles to visit my family while we were living in Sweden. We didn’t have a car and she was happy to walk everywhere with us.  Several years later my family was cast on the game show, The Family Feud and we were scheduled to fly out to LA for the taping.  A week before our flight 911 happened and I was very nervous to fly just to be on a “game show”.  She said to me in her adorable eastern European accent, “Steffi, ven god vants you he’ll find you on de toilet!”  Basically when it’s your time it’s your time until then live your life to the fullest. A great philosophy!

There are few women like Aunt Rose true to her principles but with a will and strength of character that makes her memorable.  If she were alive today she would be the CEO of a successful major corporation, admired by the whole company.
